Ekaterina Klementeva was born in a family of musicians: her father is an opera and symphony orchestra conductor Georgy Klementev (currently at Samara State Philharmonic orchestra), her mother is a violinist Natalia Klementeva (currently a violin teacher at the Rakhmaninov Music School, Moscow). Her great grand-father was a famous Russian tenor Lev Klementev (1868-1910), a soloist at the Emperor Bolshoi and Maryinsky Theatres, he was the first performer of Vodemon in “Iolanta” by P. Tchaikovsky, the first performer of a Young Gipsy in “Aleko” by S. Rakhmaninov and was acknowledged the best Neron in Rubinstein’s opera.

Ekaterina Klementeva is prizewinner of International vocal competitions, a lyrical soprano with a wide voice diapason (from “G” of low octave till “E” of top octave), with a beautiful timbre, rich tapering sound, delicate piano.

Since 10 years old Ekaterina (finished Music school as a pianist) has been performing on stage of Samara State Philharmonic Society. She is a prizewinner of Youth vocal competitions “Silver Microphone” and “Gold Microphone” (Samara, 1996, 1997). In 2005 Ekaterina graduated from Samara State Arts and Culture Academy (opera vocal faculty). 2004-2005 she was on internship at Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center. In 2007 finished post-graduate studies at Moscow Academy of Choir Art. Being a student she successfully debuted in symphony and vocal program in duet with Andrey Dunaev (a soloist at Bolshoi Theatre at a time) in 2004.

She also performed the roles of Violetta (in “La Traviata” by Verdi), Marfa (in “Tsar’s Bride” by Rimsky-Korsakov), Micaëla (in “Carmen” by Bizet) on stage of Samara State Opera and Ballet Theatre (2005-2007). She also sang the part of Viloletta on stage of Volgograd State Musical Theatre (2006) and performed in mono-opera  “La Voix Humaine” by Poulenc in Novosibirsk (2009). 

Ekaterina Klementeva is prizewinner of the Glinka Regional Vocal Competition (Togliatti, 2004, II prize), prizewinner of the International competition “Bella Voce” (Moscow, 2005, III prize), prizewinner of the International competition-festival “Contemporary Art and Education” (Moscow, 2006, II prize), special prizewinner at Sobinov International Vocalists competition (Saratov, 2006), prizewinner of the International Vocal Competition “Voix Artis” (Sibiu, Romania, 2011, I prize).

Autumn 2012 Ekaterina was on tour with Teatro Reggio chamber orchestra in Parma and Bologna with a conductor Sergio Pelligrini. 

She performed Serpina in “La Serva-Padrona” by Pergolesi and “La Voix Humaine” by Poulenc on stage of Philharmonic Societies in Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Nizhny Taguil (2010-2012) with Vladimir Ognev (bass) and a production conductor Igor Novikov; Gilda in a concert-production of “Rigoletto” by Verdi on stage of Irkutsk Philharmonic society during “The Breath of Baikal” Opera festival conducted by Sergio Pelligrini (2012).

In 2014 she made Serpina with Arturas Kozlovskis (bass-bariton) at Irkutsk Philharmonic Society conducted by Georgy Klementev. 

Ekaterina takes part in the yearly Opera-Symphony season programs on stage of Samara State Philharmonic society (2003 till present), collaborates with Vyatka Philharmonic Society, Rakhmaninov Society in Moscow, conductors: Georgy Klementev (Samara), Mikhail Scherbakov (Samara), Alexander Klevitsky (Moscow), Alexander Chubarov (Kirov), Igor Novikov (Novosibirsk, Kemerovo), Ilmar Lapinsch (Latvia), Sergio Pelligrini (Italy).
